Ms.A.Vithusha; an alumnus of our department, has been selected into a PhD programme focused on the identification of emerging and re-emerging zoonotic viruses, as part of the Global Health Protection Project. This programme is being conducted at the Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences, University of Colombo, in collaboration with the Centre for Biological Threats and Special Pathogens, ZBS1 Highly Pathogenic Viruses, Robert Koch Institute, Berlin, Germany. We are very proud of her and wish her all the best.
